Lamb Loin Chops with Acorn Squash Soup

 
 
Acorn Squash Soup
Steam 1 Acorn Squash and peel skin.  Add sqush to pot and add 1qt. water.  Add 1 cup shredded carrot, 6-7 dates, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp ginger powder, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp allspice, pinch each of ground clove and ground cardamon. Bring to near boil and lower heat to simmer.  After 10 minutes remove from heat.  Puree soup well.  Add 8 oz heavy cream and toss in 6 fresh curry leaves. Allow to sit covered for 10 minutes before serving.

Lamb Loin Chops
Bring chops to room temperature.  Season with salt and pepper.  Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side. 
Served over grilled Zucchini.  Garnished with capers and drizzled with black truffle oil.
